Glad to see you here.
I’M AIMEE!
I have always loved cooking & baking – solo, with my mom, and with my grandparents. I think it all started watching Rachael Ray, Emeril Lagasse, and of course Ina Garten growing up…will always love a trash bowl (thanks Rachael), I am definitely a clean as I go home cook (I know, I know…I promise it’s worth it).
WHERE I AM TODAY
I was born and raised in Florida, and I still live here today. Beaches, sunsets, good weather, theme parks…you can ensure it’s never a dull weekend. Except maybe the middle of July and hurricane season, if you know you know.
As I have graduated college, moved into a corporate career, and bought a house, I have found myself doing the every day cooking thing – sometimes I feel incredibly inspired and other times I have DashPass for a reason. Which is where this name comes from…Everyday Elevated (sometimes), Kitchen. I love planning a dinner menu and planning a party; but when real life hits, it really is all about getting through and aiming to romanticize the daily routine of cooking.

MORE
I have two cats, both of which I rescued at only a couple weeks old. One was born in an attic and had to be bottle fed every 4 hours. The other was a bit more feisty (and a bit older) and was spitting at us when we came near. He warmed up quickly though and now is the snuggliest cat yet. Both are boys – they get along sometimes but their age gap can get the best of them. They truly make life better.

My Passion for Cooking
In my house, we have an Italian or mediterranean inspired meal probably twice a week..but I do try to switch it up often, we all love some variety. I always strive to have a night with a different protein source to keep it exciting. Seafood night, beef night, chicken night, meatless…. It’s not always possible but does help me keep dinners less repetitive. But I know we all have that list of five meals that works its way in because it’s simple, tasty, and hassle free. We all need a spaghetti and caesar salad night that gets on the table in under twenty minutes.
I enjoy cooking, baking, grilling – all the things! I love to experiment with new flavors, put a spin on an old tradition, and make things that remind me of growing up. Here you will find all sorts of ideas on what to make on a busy weeknight or when you have the itch to spend a little more time in the kitchen. We can romanticize and elevate any day of the week, it doesn’t have to be a 25 step recipe to be a big hit in your home or for your dinner party.
With all that said, I hope to remind you to light the candle, put on your favorite music, and take a moment to soak in the daily do’s of life, like cooking dinner. I’ll be taking this advice, too.
