Ingredients
- 12 ounces baby carrots
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
-
Add 2 inches of water to a pot and place your steamer basket inside.

Once boiling, cover the pot with a lid and steam the carrots until they are fork-tender.
-
Carefully remove the steamer basket and pour out the water from the pot.
-
Return the empty pot to the stove over low to medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt.
-
Stir in ¼ cup honey, 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, and ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper until combined.
-
Add the steamed carrots back to the pot and stir to coat them evenly in the sauce.
-
Let the sauce simmer and thicken, stirring frequently to ensure the carrots stay evenly coated.
-
Once the sauce has thickened and the carrots are fully coated, remove from heat and serve!
