  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups cooked pulled pork
  • ¾ cup barbecue sauce
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package of King’s Hawaiian rolls (12 rolls)
  • 6 slices of white american cheese, pepper jack or cheese of your choice
  • Jalapeños or coleslaw for topping (optional)
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray with neutral cooking spray, such as avocado oil.
  3. Cut the loaf of Hawaiian rolls in half, leaving the top and bottom intact to simulate a large bun.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine your cooked pulled pork with ¾ cup barbecue sauce and toss until fully coated.
  5. Evenly spread the sauced pulled pork on your bottom buns.
  6. Top the pulled pork with 6 slices of cheese.
  7. Place the top of the rolls back on top.
  8. Melt 2 tablespoons unsalted butter. To the melted butter, whisk in ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon onion powder, and ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
  9. Brush the top of the rolls with the butter mixture.
  10. Fully cover the rolls with a piece of foil.
  11. Bake covered for 15 minutes. Remove foil, and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the tops of the buns are golden brown.

Notes

The tops of the rolls will brown quickly, ensure to cover with foil for the first 15 minutes.
