Perfect to feed a crowd.

These easy Pulled Pork Sliders are perfect for parties, game day, or a quick family dinner. Made with tender pulled pork, melted cheese, and soft and sweet Hawaiian rolls, they come together fast and always hit the spot.

BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders

One thing about me, I love a good BBQ pulled pork sandwich! Whether it’s from the local BBQ spot down the street or a chain like Sonny’s, it’s such a simple meal that never disappoints. Whenever I see Boston pork butts on sale, I grab one to toss in the crockpot. One roast goes a long way and makes enough for multiple meals.

These BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders came about when I was looking for a fun way to use up leftovers after throwing a roast in the crockpot, and they turned out even better than expected. Now they’re a go to for Sundays when we have people over for football and even the picky eaters love them, which is always a win!

Ingredients

This recipe is great to use up leftovers or makes a quick meal you can start in the morning and finish in 20 minutes after a long day. Just throw a roast in the crockpot, let it cook all day, shred it apart, and put together the sliders.

Fresh Ingredients

  • cooked pulled pork
  • melted butter
  • white American or pepper jack cheese – or whichever cheese you prefer!
  • jalapeños or coleslaw for topping – optional
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish – also optional

Pantry Ingredients

  • King’s Hawaiian rolls – the 12 count
  • barbecue sauce – we love Sweet Baby Ray’s
  • kosher salt – always Diamond Crystal in my recipes
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
A 12 pack of King's Hawaiian Rolls, a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce, a small plate of slices of white American cheese, a small clear bowl filled with 3 tablespoons of butter, and a smaller glass bowl with little piles of onion powder, garlic, powder and salt to season the tops of the rolls.

How to Make Pulled Pork Sliders

  • Preheat: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with a neutral oil like avocado oil.
  • Assemble the Sliders: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact. In a bowl, toss the cooked pulled pork with ¾ cup BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
Spread the pork over the bottom half of the rolls and top with 6 slices of cheese. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  • Make the Butter Topping: Melt 2 tablespoons unsalted butter and whisk in your seasonings. Brush over the tops of the rolls.
  • Bake and Serve: Cover the sliders with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 5 more minutes or until the tops are golden brown.

Storage Tips

Pulled Pork Sliders are best served the day you make them to avoid soggy Hawaiian rolls. However, they are still delicious reheated in the microwave in 30 second intervals until fully warmed through.

I send these the next day for lunch all the time!

What to Serve with Pulled Pork Sliders

These are great as an appetizer or a main dish.

When I serve these sliders for dinner, I typically do green beans or corn on the cob as our veg. mac and cheese or twice baked potatoes also pair really nicely and make for a well rounded meal.

Baked beans and coleslaw would be a classic pairing!
